Thank you very much in advance for the help you could give me.
I bought a discman d-211 on ebay. I changed the laser head. I changed all the electrolytic capacitors (including the SMD ones). Now it reads the CDs but in the line out the left channel sounds distorted. On the other hand, at the headphones output, only the distorted left channel is heard (no audio on the right channel).
Also the LCD works but the light does not turn on.
What could be wrong?
The issues you reported are quite common. Usually the leaking electrolyte corrodes vias and traces on the PCB. You can find black vias always mean there are corroded. Connecting them with both sides can handle all issues you mentioned.
